The driver (USR7900.SYS) contained in the root is for the following 
U.S. Robotics Ethernet adapter:

        U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX

The driver (USR7900.SYS) conforms to the Network Driver Interface 
Specification NDIS/5, and is used with Microsoft Windows 98,
Windows Millennium and Windows 2000.

(A) Installing the NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows 98

    1. Plug U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX into one of the Master PCI
       slots of your PCI platform.
    2. Turn the power ON, then boot from Windows 98.
    3. When Windows 98 prompts with "PCI Ethernet Controller" in
       "New Hardware Found" dialog box, click the "Next" button.
    4. Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)"
       form the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the
       "Next" button.
    5. Insert the USR7900 Driver Diskette in your floppy drive.
    6. Select "Specify a location" and type Path "A:\" in the "Add New 
       Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the "Next" button.
    7. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.
    8. Windows 98 will prompt with "U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX" in 
       the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.
    9. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, 
       then Windows 98 will copy the driver from A:\ to the 
       C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and the NETUSR79.INF file from A: to 
       the C:\WINDOWS\INF directory.
   10. When Windows prompts with "U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX" in 
       the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, click the "Finsh" button.
   11. Remove the USR7900 Driver Diskette from your floppy 
       drive.
   12. Restart your computer to initialize the network function.

       NOTICE!! C:\WINDOWS is the directory where your Windows 98
                O.S. is located.


(B) Configuring the NDIS5 Miniport driver on Microsoft Windows 98
====================================================================

    1. Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group.
    2. Click the "Control Panel" icon in the My Computer window.
    3. Click the "Network" icon in the Control Panel window.
    4. Select the "U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX"
       item from the "Network" dialog box, then click the "Properties"
       button.
    5. Click the "Advanced" button in the "U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX 
       Properties" dialog box.
    6. Select the Line Speed value (Auto,100full,100half,10full,10half)
       for the "Value" item, then click the OK button in the "U.S. Robotics 
       10/100 PCI NIC TX Properties" dialog box.
    7. Click the OK button in the "Network" dialog box.
    8. Restart your computer to implement the new configuration.
