Windows 95 OSR2 (OEM Service Release 2) Introduction: ------------- This document describes the procedure to install Windows 95 OSR2 (OEM Service Release 2) driver for D-Link DRN-16CT Ethernet ISA Bus Adapter. Location of Driver: \WIN95\DRN16CT.SYS NDIS 3 Mini-Port DRIVER Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows 95 OSR2: ----------------------------------------------------- Before starting with the installation process, make sure that the adapter is properly installed and configured. 1.If Windows 95 OSR2 has built the driver for D-Link DRN-16CT, when you plug the D-Link DRN-16CT in the mother board and power on the Windows 95 OSR2, the Window 95 will install the driver of D-Link DRN-16CT automatically. You will see there is an item: "Realtek RTL8019 PnP LAN adapter or compatible" in the 'Network adapters' list in the Device Manager. The Device Manager can be invoked by choosing Start\Setting\ Control Panel\System \Hardware (Tag)\Device Manager (button) 2.Invoke the Device Manager. Right click the item "Realtek RTL8019 PnP LAN adapter or compatable" in the 'Network adapters' list, and choose Properties. There will prompt the Realtek RTL8019 PnP LAN adapter or compatable Properties window. 3.Click the 'Driver' tag, and choose the 'Update Driver' button. There wll prompt a Update Device Driver Wizard window. Click 'Next'. 4.The Wizard will ask you Do you want Windows to search for the driver ? Please choose ' No, select driver from list ' Click 'Next', it will prompt a 'Select Device' window. 5.Click 'Have Disk'. In 'Install From Disk' window, type the following path in the combo list: A:\WIN95 Click 'OK'. 6.There will show : "D-Link DRN-16CT Ethernet ISA Bus Adapter" in the 'Models:' window Click 'Next'. 7.Windows 95 OSR2 will copy the driver and system files for the network. 8.Finish the 'Update Driver', and the updated driver will work for D-Link DRN-16CT. 9.You will see "D-Link DRN-16CT Ethernet ISA Bus Adapter" in the 'Network adapters' list.
