W940ND.SYS is a NDIS 3.x driver for Windows NT Platform. If there exists only one RP-1651W card, the driver will automatically get IOBASE and IRQ from PCI Configuration Space. If there exists more than one RP-1651W cards, user can indicate a specified RP-1651W card by inputing IDs. 2. OEMSETUP.INF is a Network Setup Information File for Windows NT Platform. Installation: 1. Insert the driver disk into drive A: or B: 2. From the Windows NT Main Menu, select the Control Panel icon. 3. From the Control Panel menu select the Network icon. 4. In Network Setting, click on "Add Adapter". 5. For each additional message, select continue. 6. From the Add Network Adapter dialog box, scroll through the menu to select Other. 7. When the Insert Diskettes menu prompts you for a disk, enter the drive A: or B: with path \WINNT\, for exmaple : a. For Windows NT 3.1, the path is \WINNT\31 b. For Windows NT 3.51, the path is \WINNT\351 Then select OK. 8. Select 'RP-1651W PCI Adapter' from the Select OEM Option box, then select OK. 9. Upon completion, the selected adapter is added to the Installed Adapter Cards list of the Network Setting box (the number prefixing the adapter is the adapter number). 10. Click on [Close] to complete the Network Setting initialization. 11. Shutdown and reboot the system. Usage: 1. Boot your computer 2. if you want to select another RP-1651W card step1: Double-click the 'Control Panel' icon in the 'Main' Program Group. step2: Double-click the 'Network' icon from the 'Control Panel' Window. step3: Select the 'RP-1651W PCI Adapter' item in the 'Installed Adapter Cards' Window, and double-click the 'Configure' Button. step4: Type Ehternet IDs you want to select when the 'Input Ethernet ID' Dialog Box appears, and click the 'OK' Button when you finish. step5: Click the 'OK' Button in the 'Network Settings' Dialog Box. step6: Restart your system. Trouble Shooting 1. Message: 'At least one service or driver failed during system startup. Use Event Viewer to examine the event log for details.' Solution: Make sure a. your RP-1651W card is plugged into your system, or b. if there exists more than one RP-1651W cards, you must indicate a specified RP-1651W card by inputing IDs. 2. Condition: The Windows NT 3.5 can not boot normally, Solution: Make sure that your RP-1651W PCI card is connected to the cable.
