With this utility, users can change the hardware settings on the Compex EN2000N network adapters at any time easily. All the options are described briefly below. a) I/O Base The valid I/O base address are 0x240, 0x280, 0x2C0, 0x300, 0x320, 0x340 and 0x360. b) IRQ Set your network adapter at an IRQ level not to be used by other I/O devices in your system unit. If the same IRQ level is used by your adapter and another I/O devices in your system unit, change the IRQ level to prevent conflict. NOTE: :- IRQ 10 and 11 can only be selected when the network adapter is in an AT slot. c) Cable Type There are 3 supported cable type. :- Twisted pair (TPI) :- Thin Ethernet (BNC) :- Thick Ethernet (AUI) A NOTE ON HOW TO USE THE AUI PORT FOR EN2000N-COMBO3 : To use the AUI port, jumper pins J3 and J4 MUST be shorted by a jumper and at the same time the adapter must be programmed to BNC mode via the Easyset program. To switch to use BNC port, short jumper pins J2 and J3 and of course with the card also programmed to BNC mode. d) PROM It specifies the starting address of the boot PROM. The supported address range is started from 0xC800:0 and up to 0xD800:0. e) Late IO-16 This option is set to Disabled. Do not enable it. f) Late CHRDY This option is set to Disabled.
