INSTALLATION GUIDE ================== Windows NT Workstation 3.51 ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ a) From Control Panel, select the Network icon and a Network Settings dialog box appears. b) Click the ADD ADAPTER button and a Add Network Adapter dialog box appears. c) Select the option, Requires Disk From Manufacturer, in the Network Adapter Card box and a Insert Diskette dialog box appears. d) Insert EN2000N LAN Adapter Driver Disk into the drive (eg. A:) and enter the full pathname of the setup file. eg. A:\NT351 e) A Select OEM Option box lists the adapter setup files. Select the correct adapter and click the OK button to proceed the installation. f) Windows NT will copy the necessary files and start the Compex EN2000 Ethernet Adapter Setup. g) Choose correct hardware configuration parameters and then click OK button ÚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ¿ ³ DRIVER CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS ³ ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ In the Compex EN2000 Ethernet Adapter Setup box, users are required to select correct configuration parameters for the network adapters. Cable Type - It specifies the cable type that the adapter will use to connect to the network. The available options are TPI (Twisted-pair cable), BNC (Coaxial cable), and Current Setting. IRQ - It specifies the hardware interrupt line the adapter will use. The available options are Current Setting, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11. If Current Setting is selected, the driver will read the IRQ setting from the adapter and use it. If other number is selected, the driver will program (temporarily) the adapter to the IRQ selected by users. Adapter Number - It specifies which adapter in the workstation the driver takes control.
