------------------------------------------------------------------- Live!Ware 3.0 for Windows 2000 Readme File May 2000 ------------------------------------------------------------------- This document provides late-breaking or other information that supplements the Live!Ware 3.0 documentation. Note: If you have purchased a computer directly from a PC manufacturer (eg. DELL, Compaq, Gateway, Micron etc.) that comes with a SB Live! Value card, installing Live!Ware 3.0 will cause some of the customized settings or features to be upgraded to Live!Ware 3.0. -------- CONTENTS -------- 1. INSTALLATION NOTES =================================================================== 1. INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------ (This section only applies if you are installing Live!Ware 3.0 over any existing Sound Blaster Live! package.) Installing the Live!Ware 3.0 software will remove all your existing Environmental Audio (EA) and Super-Environment presets from your computer. If you want to keep your existing presets, please refer to the instructions below. If you want to keep your existing: EA presets ---------- 1) Click Start -> Programs -> Creative -> Sound Blaster Live! -> AudioHQ. 2) In the AudioHQ window, click the Environmental Audio icon to start the EA applet. 3) In the Environment box, select the EA preset that you want to export, and then click the Export button. 4) Save the preset in a temporary folder on your Desktop. 5) Repeat Step 3 to Step 4 until all presets you want are saved. 5) Install Live!Ware 3.0. 6) Import the saved presets (.eap, .ea2) using the EA applet. Super-Environment presets ------------------------- 1) Click Start -> Programs -> Creative -> Sound Blaster Live! -> Surround Mixer. 2) In Surround Mixer, select the Task and Preset that you want to save. 3) On the top-right of Surround Mixer, click the Preset Options button, and then select Export Preset. 4) Save the preset in a temporary folder on your Desktop. 5) Repeat Step 2 to Step 4 until all presets you want are saved. 5) Install Live!Ware 3.0. 6) Import the saved presets (.sea) using Surround Mixer.
