     This file contains valuable information that was not available at the time
     of printing of the manual. Therefore you should take a close look at it.



Windows 3.1
-----------

     In order for the Sound Zapper card to work properly with Windows, you 
     should choose in Control Panel/Drivers the Sound Blaster driver 1.0. That 
     is because only the FM synthesizer is compatible with the Sound Blater Pro, 
     and not also the voice section.



Novell Netware
--------------

     When used together with some low quality network cards, the Sound Zapper 
     card cannot work if the network card is configured on I/O address 300h. For 
     the moment, the solution is to disable the joystick port on the Sound
     Zapper card or to change the address of the network card to another 
     setting.



General Remarks
---------------

  *  As mentioned also in the manual, some poor designed mouse drivers can cause a lot of 
     headaches when used. Therefore, if you experience any problems of any kind 
     while using the Sound Zapper card with a software that requires a mouse, 
     please disable first the mouse driver and check if the problem persists. 
     And if it does, please read the manual and try again.

  *  With some 486 systems it is possible to experience hang-ups while running 
     a program that is using the FM synthesizers. Also, the sound may be 
     distorted (like some notes are skipped). There are many possible causes 
     that can explain this behaviour, but the most probable one is that the 
     program was not designed to take into consideration the increased speed 
     of the motherboard. In this case, the most apropriate solution is to 
     disable the external cache, the internal cache or both.

  *  In this version of the SOUND MENU, the "Move item" menu entry in the 
     "Options" menu is not available.
